Healthcare Professionals

The unfortunate truth of being a healthcare professional is the reality that compartmentalization is a necessary short-term coping skill, and disastrous long-term strategy.

If you work in an environment where tragedy and grief are prevalent, or where heroism and helplessness coexist, you understand that moral distress and burnout are always right around the corner.

No matter your education, training, or experience, humans weren’t meant to absorb this amount of emotional strain. Being able to off-gas and process in a confidential environment is key to remaining confident and competent in your demanding role.

You’re not alone. There is support for this journey.

Counseling

I provide individual counseling to adults 18 and older, who are healthcare professionals looking for emotional resilience tools.

My counseling services are offered through AMANDA DODSON | COUNSELING AND CARE PLANNING LLC.

Discussion Groups

I facilitate discussion groups that bring together professionals from across the healthcare spectrum – from emergency medicine, to hospice and funeral care, to counseling and chaplaincy. These groups are an opportunity to hear from others with similar experiences, opening the door to asking questions, sharing stories, and feeling less demoralized.

My support groups are offered through the HEARTLIGHT CENTER.
